I built Ping because I (and thousands of others) have wasted entire nights refreshing broken UPSC/SSC/NTA portals during deadline week.
The problem is simple: these government portals get slammed during peak hours and there was no public visibility into when they’re actually usable.
So I made a public dashboard that:
- Checks homepages every 15 minutes
- Builds historical heatmaps so you can see the best time windows
- Shows live status + latency for all major portals
It’s completely independent, open, and runs on GitHub Actions.

Wish this existed last year when I nearly missed an SSC deadline because the site kept timing out. The heatmap idea is genuinely useful, would have helped me pick a calmer hour to apply.
