Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Brian, and I built Mathicorn for one very specific user: my 10-year-old daughter, Audrey.
She was struggling to enjoy practicing her times tables, and every app I tried was either buried in ads or wanted way too much information about my kid. So I built the one I actually wanted her to use.
It looks like a cute unicorn game — and it is — but underneath it uses real, research-backed teaching methods (retrieval practice, spaced repetition, strategy hints). And my three rules never move: it’s completely free, it has zero ads, and it collects no personal data about children.

The pastel vibe is genuinely charming, and the no-ads, no-tracking approach is a huge plus for parents. One thing that would make it stickier for my kid: a parent dashboard showing which specific times-table facts are still slow or error-prone, so we know exactly where to focus practice instead of guessing.
