As IITians, we've been through the high-stakes, grueling placement seasons ourselves. We saw firsthand how chaotic the preparation process was—jumping between completely disconnected platforms for coding practice, resume formatting, mock interviews, and job hunting. It was overwhelming and inefficient. We were inspired to create a single, beautifully unified workspace that brought every essential preparation tool under one roof. What problem were we trying to solve? The core problem is the fragmentation of the career prep journey and the lack of accessible, personalized feedback. Students spend too much time managing different tools instead of actually learning. Furthermore, getting quality, actionable feedback on interview delivery is notoriously difficult. GyanSutra AI solves this by being your all-in-one placement workspace. We’ve built: 🤖 AI Mock Interviews: Simulate technical and HR rounds with real-time, actionable feedback on tone, precision, and complexity. 💻 Built-in DSA IDE: Write, compile, and run code in-browser with time/space complexity tracking. 📄 ATS-Friendly Resume Builder: An AI scanner that detects missing keywords and formatting issues instantly. 🎯 Curated Premium Job Board: Exclusive opportunities handpicked for our users. How did our approach or process evolve while working on this launch? Initially, our goal was simply to build a better job board for premium technical roles. However, as we interviewed more students, it became crystal clear that getting the interview was only half the battle; clearing it was the real bottleneck. This realization completely shifted our approach. We evolved from a simple job directory into building what we call a "Skill Constellation." We heavily invested in integrating the AI interviewer and the in-browser IDE to ensure candidates aren't just applying, but are fundamentally job-ready. Over the last few months, we spent countless hours refining the AI to ensure the feedback it gives during mock interviews feels human, constructive, and genuinely helpful.
