I built Formation for a specific person: the financially capable DIY-er whose money has outgrown a single login — several custodians, a trust or an LLC, equity comp, K-1s, multi-state tax — and who'd rather run their own money than hand it to a wealth manager.
Most tools either flatten all of that into one pile (budgeting apps) or cost $2,500+/yr and assume you have staff (family-office software). Formation organizes everything by the entity that owns it, cites every number back to its source, and gives you AURA — an AI that explains your actual money in plain English so you can make the call yourself.
It's education-only by design: AURA never gives personalized advice, and Formation never touches your money (read-only, via Plaid).
