Hi Product Hunt! I’m Erdeni, the maker behind AnimGen 👋 I built AnimGen after seeing how fragmented it is to turn finished character art into animation you can actually use in a game. Generating motion is only one step. You still need to inspect the result, choose the useful frames, preserve transparency, build sprite data, and get the files into an engine. AnimGen brings those steps together: • Upload character art and describe a motion • Preview the generated result and keep the useful range • Build and reorder sequences frame by frame, duplicate or trim frames, adjust selected-frame transforms, and set an engine pivot • Export RGBA PNG frames, sprite sheets with JSON, transparent WebM or ProRes 4444, or packs for Unity, Godot, Unreal Paper2D, and Cocos Creator • Automate image-to-animation workflows through the public API or OAuth-based remote MCP Transparency was one of the hardest parts to get right. For artwork with meaningful alpha, AnimGen uses a controlled processing background during generation and reconstructs alpha during export. The first generated MP4 itself is not transparent; the transparent deliverables are created during export. I wanted that boundary to be clear instead of presenting it as a magic black box. New accounts receive 120 one-time welcome credits with no card required. Free Web export includes PNG frames; advanced production formats and commercial use require paid access.
