Hey Product Hunt, I built VaultSeek because my own notes became impossible to search. I had hundreds of Markdown files, PDFs, drafts, technical notes, research documents, and random folders scattered across my laptop. The problem was not that I had no knowledge — the problem was that I could not find it when I needed it. Traditional search only works when you remember the exact keyword. But human memory does not work that way. I usually remember the meaning, not the filename. So I built VaultSeek: a local-first AI semantic search app for personal files. The current version focuses on the Retrieval part of RAG: fast local indexing, semantic search, preview, and opening the original file quickly. It supports Markdown, TXT, PDF, and DOCX files, runs locally, and keeps your data on your machine.
