Blastmates
Blow up your friends in the browser. No install, no signup.
Blastmates is a free, open-source multiplayer bomb-arena game that runs in the browser. Share a room link and up to 8 friends jump in. No download, no account, no launcher. Drop bombs, blow up bricks, be the last one standing. Works on desktop and mobile, with bots to fill empty slots and sudden death to keep rounds short. Built solo with Claude Code. Full source on GitHub, so fork it, self-host it, break it.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Martin, a solo dev from Slovakia. I grew up playing bomb-arena games with friends crammed around one keyboard, and I wanted that back, without anyone having to install anything.
So I built Blastmates: open a link, share it, play. 2 to 8 players, desktop or mobile, bots to fill the gaps, sudden death so nobody stalls.
It's free, and as of today it's fully open source: github.com/martinboksa/blastmates. Fork it, self-host it, add game modes, rip out the parts you hate. I built the whole thing with Claude Code, including the trailer.
Two things I'd love feedback on:
1. Does the mobile control scheme actually feel playable?
2. If you looked at the repo, is anything obviously cursed in there?
Grab a friend, open blastmates.app, and tell me what breaks. I'm here all day. 💣

Who hunted Blastmates?
Blastmates was hunted by Martin Bokša. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
