ZikZak
Turn your photos into a map of everywhere you've been
See everywhere you've been, from your own photos. ZikZak reads the GPS in your photos (Google Photos Takeout too) and places them on a satellite world map. Replay trips on a timeline, share a link or video, and plan Someday trips. Private by default and free.
I'm Fredrik, and I made ZikZak in my spare time from Holte, just north of Copenhagen. It started because I had thousands of travel photos and no good way to look back at where I'd actually been.
ZikZak reads the location in your photos (including a Google Photos Takeout) and puts them on a satellite world map. You can replay your travels on a timeline, flip through "My year in travel" cards, share a view-only link or a short video, and keep a Someday list of places you'd love to go, with a little Plan it panel for each.
It's private by default: your photos stay in your browser unless you choose to sign up and save your atlas to the cloud. It's free, and honestly it's a hobby project, so there's no team behind it, just me.
If you've got two minutes, try the sample atlas or drop in a few photos and tell me what felt confusing or missing. Every bit of feedback helps.
