Zaira Labs Guide
The developer tool guide built for AI coding agents
Your coding agent is choosing databases, frameworks, APIs, and libraries. The information behind those choices is often stale or written to sell. Zaira Guide gives agents verified facts and decision logic instead. It now covers 900+ tools, including tradeoffs, alternatives, constraints, and agent-readiness scores. Available on the web, through REST, and over MCP. Free, no signup.
Hey Product Hunt, Paul here, co-founder of Zaira Labs.
AI coding agents choose tools in nearly every session. The strange part is what they’re choosing from. Stale training data, search results, and vendor copy. Docs explain how a tool works. They rarely explain whether it fits the job.
Saben and I hit this problem while building with agents ourselves, so we built the Zaira Guide. It gives agents verified decision data for 900+ tools, including when to use each one, when to avoid it, alternatives, constraints, and a Base Score against the open Zaira Standard.
Try it on the web, through REST, or over MCP. No signup. No key.
Then pick the tool you know best and look for what we got wrong. If you find something, send us the source. We’ll check it and fix it here.
What tool should we add next?
love that it calls out stale info and sales pitches as the actual problem, not just "AI picks bad tools." the agent-readiness scores and tradeoff breakdowns are the kind of signal that makes this useful rather than another rankings site.
Love that this is free and no signup needed. One thing that would be huge for me: a way to export or share the "decision logic" for a specific stack so my whole team can see why the agent picked what it picked. Right now I trust the recommendation, but I can't easily pass that reasoning along to teammates who didn't run the same query.
honestly the agent-readiness scores are such a smart idea, finally a way to tell which docs are actually usable versus the ones that just look pretty. and shipping it on MCP without forcing a signup is a really thoughtful move for adoption.
Tried it for a Node.js side project and the tradeoff notes for Postgres vs SQLite actually changed what I picked. Love that it is free with no signup, solid resource.
Would love to see a way to submit corrections or flag outdated info directly from the web view, since things move fast and a community-driven feedback loop would keep the verified facts actually verified. Maybe a tiny "report issue" link on each tool's page that lets you cite the source you're contesting it with.
One thing I'd love to see is a "last verified date" shown right on each tool card so I know at a glance how fresh the tradeoffs and agent-readiness scores are, especially for fast-moving things like AI SDKs.
