NTFS for Mac built on Apple's FSKit: no kernel extension, no macFUSE, no reboot, your Mac stays at Full Security. NTFS drives mount in Finder read-only by default; turn on Allow writing (beta) per drive after a backup notice. Hibernated, dirty or BitLocker drives stay read-only with steps to fix them in Windows. Open source (GPL v2), open beta for macOS 26+.

Hi Product Hunt! I'm Nguyen, the maker of Yuzu NTFS.

Out of the box, macOS mounts Windows NTFS drives read-only, and the usual workarounds need a kernel extension or macFUSE. Yuzu NTFS is built on Apple's FSKit (macOS 26+), so it runs as a user-space file-system extension: no kext, no macFUSE, no reboot, and your Mac stays at Full Security.

How it behaves:

• Drives mount in Finder read-only first. You turn on "Allow writing (beta)" per drive, after a backup notice.

• Drives that Windows left hibernated (Fast Startup), marked dirty or encrypted with BitLocker stay read-only, with the steps to fix them in Windows.

• Eject unmounts safely and never force-unmounts a busy volume.

It's an open beta and open source (GPL v2). Intel builds are experimental and not yet tested on Intel hardware. Please keep a backup before writing, and tell me what breaks!
