Yubi is a 6 MB Mac app. Hold the right Option key, talk, and your words land at the cursor. Hold right Command when you need help on screen. Your voice never leaves this Mac. Free to talk. Email sign in. No card for Free.
Hey Product Hunt. Carlos built Yubi in Tokyo.
Yubi started as a selfish tool. Carlos types all day in Slack and Mail in Japanese and English, and did not want his voice leaving the Mac for that.
How it works:
1. Hold right Option, talk, let go. Text lands at the cursor.
2. Hold right Command when you are lost on screen. She can point and help with simple Mac tasks.
3. The app is about 6 MB. Dictation stays on device. Free plan needs an email link, no card.
Talking is free. Tasks (the help side) are metered: 10 on Free, more on Personal and Pro.
If you have an Apple Silicon Mac, the useful review is not a trophy upvote. Download it, dictate one real message you were going to type, and tell me where it broke.

Who hunted Yubi?
Yubi was hunted by Ken Tanaka. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
