Hey everyone 👋 I've been building a bunch of products for the startup ecosystem, and every time I needed to actually talk to someone, a marketer who might join, an investor who might care, another builder just to compare notes. the tools all funneled me into the same thing: build a profile, scroll a feed, send a message, wait. Most of the time nobody replied. When they did, it took weeks to actually get on a call. So I built Yapr to remove all of that. You show up, hit go, and you're on a random 1:1 video call with someone else on the platform — right now, no scheduling. Your profile shows up on screen so it's not a total stranger, but there's no browsing, no matching algorithm to game, no "let's circle back." And it's not just for founders. That's the part I kept getting wrong in early versions, I built it thinking "cofounder matching" and quickly realized the more interesting product is: anyone building something. Investors, engineers, marketers, designers, growth people. The best conversation might come from someone whose job title you didn't expect. This is a genuine v1. I'd rather ship something rough and real than sit on it polishing for another month. Tell me what breaks, what feels off, who you got matched with, all of it helps. Thanks for checking it out 🙏

Met a designer on my second match who actually gave solid feedback on my landing page copy. Token filters feel gimmicky but at least the queue moves fast.

Add a "topic of the day" prompt at the top of the matching screen so users can quickly filter by things like "seed fundraising" or "hiring engineers." It would save time finding relevant calls instead of relying only on token filters.

Who hunted Yapr?

Yapr was hunted by Emmanuel Bankole. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
