Hunted byBen GBen G

Color is a social network for how you feel, not what you did. Pick a color from an emotion-mapped wheel. Add a note if you want, or let the color speak. Your post goes onto a live world map — no algorithm, no feed ranking, just moods blooming in real time across the globe. No followers to chase. No likes to count. No text required. Just a dot on the map that says: this is what I felt, here, now.

Hey PH! I'm Ben, and I built Color because I kept opening social apps and closing them feeling worse than before. Everything is optimised for engagement — likes, replies, arguments. I wanted something quieter. Color is a mood network. You pick a color that matches how you feel, give it a city, and it appears on a live world map. That's it. No profile to curate, no follower count, no algorithm deciding who sees you. The world map is public — you can see it right now at worldcolor.app/public-map.html even without signing up. Moods from real users blend with a world seed so it never looks empty, but real posts take over as cities fill up. I've been building this as a solo side project and testing it with friends. Product Hunt feels like the right next step to see if this resonates more widely. Would love to hear: what color are you today? And what does that color mean to you?

honestly the no-text-required angle is really thoughtful, especially for those days when you just can't even put words to what's going on. the emotion-mapped color wheel feels like such a smart way in

I picked a muddy green when I was feeling restless and saw someone in Tokyo post the exact same shade two seconds later, that quiet global moment is what got me.

Picked a soft green and dropped it on the map, then watched a few new dots bloom nearby in the next minute. The lack of a feed made it feel quiet and oddly calming.
