Like a lot of people, I always hated buying gifts. Every birthday or holiday followed the same pattern: someone created a group chat, everyone asked "what should we buy?", nobody really knew what the person wanted, and we either bought something random or accidentally gave duplicate gifts. Even worse was sending the awkward "so… what do you want for your birthday?" text — which completely spoiled the surprise.
After going through this over and over, I realized the problem wasn't finding gifts. It was that there was no simple place where people could privately keep the things they genuinely wanted and share them only when they chose to. So I built Wishler, in Tbilisi, Georgia 🇬🇪.
