I built WasCryptoScammed after watching how confidently crypto scams are pitched — and how little there is between "this sounds amazing" and the money being gone.
Most victims aren't careless. They're new to crypto and get professional-sounding answers from someone who's run the same script hundreds of times. By the time the story falls apart, it's too late.
So the site does one thing: it gives you a five-second sanity check before you send anything.

Things I'm deliberately not doing: no fund-recovery promises, no seed-phrase requests, no paid placement from any exchange or platform. Every regulator warning links back to the original public record so you can verify it yourself.
It's free. I'd love feedback on the message checker especially — if you have a real scam message, paste it and tell me whether the breakdown was actually useful or just generic. That's the part I most want to get right.
