The first all-in-one, AI-native game engine. An AI agent builds your AAA-style 3D game. You can edit it directly in a synced visual editor. No code. Auto-rigging, multiplayer, and 1-click publish built in. Uses ~80% fewer tokens and generates faster than Claude Opus 5.5 + Unity.

Together, we're uniting top-tier AI agent research with deep game-engine engineering.
Today, we're launching Wanaka Studio: the first all-in-one, AI-native game engine built from the ground up for both humans and AI. Anyone can build high-quality 3D games, with zero coding required.
💡 Why we built Wanaka Studio
Making a game should be as easy as making a video. Photos and videos had their UGC revolutions because editing apps made creation effortless. Games never did, because the barrier was too high. We believe AI finally makes game creation accessible to everyone.
Existing AI game-dev paths hit a dead end. We went deep on the two main approaches in the market today and found fatal flaws in both. Our takeaway: LLMs won't replace professional software. Instead, AI needs better software. All pro software deserves to be rebuilt from scratch for one simple reason: the user has changed.
So we built a brand-new game engine where both humans and AI are first-class citizens.
🚀 What makes it special: Ultimate Ease of Use × AAA-Grade Quality
An Engine-Native AI Agent That Actually Works. Why does our Agent succeed where general coding agents fail? It doesn't write raw boilerplate from scratch. It operates on an engine co-designed for AI, with clean declarative APIs, 30+ atomic engine tools (physics, terrain, prefabs, behaviors, lighting), and a closed-loop self-playtest & rollback system that inspects the live runtime, catches bugs, and fixes its own mistakes.
All-in-One Game IDE & Visual Editor. No black-box prompt roulette. The Agent and the visual IDE stay in real-time, two-way sync. Prompt for speed and get readable, structured game design & logic, then click straight into the 3D viewport to drag assets and fine-tune parameters. The Agent immediately understands every manual edit you make.
3D Character Generation & Rigging. Generate custom 3D characters with built-in skeletal rigging and animations in seconds.
Native Multiplayer. Built-in networking and state sync let you turn any creation into a multiplayer game to play with friends.
One-Click Publishing. Share your game instantly via a link. Zero deployment headaches.

The engine-native agent + live sync with the visual editor is the part that makes sense to me. “No prompt roulette” is a good way to put it. 1-click publish —that’s a nice hook, that's good for new game maker.
Small idea: an “explain this edit / change log” panel with rollback would be super useful once humans and AI are both touching the same scene. A remix/template gallery could also help new folks get to the aha moment faster.
Btw I’m building vectoree.ai—a one-stop backend for ai products. would love to see if there’s a future integration angle.
Quick q: is the multiplayer backend going to be open for plugins/integrations, or are you focusing on matchmaking/rooms first? 👀
The best part might be getting feedback earlier. A rough game that friends can actually play tells you more than another page of notes!
We're going from "I have a game idea" to "here's the playable version" pretty fast. The real danger might be having too many ideas to finish.
AI game engine that actually lowers the barrier to entry - interesting bet. Real question: how does the agent handle the iterative feedback loop? When a creator says "add more trees but darker", does it understand the design intent or just prompt-match? The token efficiency claim (~80% fewer tokens) is compelling, but how much of that comes from the engine's constraints vs actual efficiency gains?
Congratulations on the Launch!
The app feels great and easier to use. I built a simple rocket launch simulator game in less than 10 mins. I'd love to use it in my app to gamify learning experience. I wasn't able to find an API key for that measure, it would be great to have API calls for this model so that it can be more beneficial for other developers.

I've have been enjoying game development using Claude directly, but am looking forward to trying out an entire game dev ecosystem
The part I find interesting is that you can go from a simple idea to a playable 3D game without having to learn a full game engine first.
Looks great @yang_zhang21@stefania_chen! Congrats to the team. I tried emailing you but your email on your website bounced back. What's the best email?
Super cool! I love that this connects to sketchfab and presumably other tools. I made a two player racing game and was surprised by how fast it built.
This looks great! Can't wait to test it! 🔥
Is it possible to embed our games into a web page, so our game stays on our domain so to speak?
This is so cool! I wonder if one can publish a full fledged game to Steam built with Wanaka Studio.
Love this actually 🤍 can I bring my favourite characters from other games? Like Naruto or Street fighter inside and make a new game play? Would that be seen as usage rights?
Wow!
It looks absolutely amazing! Think of how much time all of this used to take!?!?! And now it’s so simple and fast.
Great product - best of luck!

Who hunted Wanaka Studio?
Wanaka Studio was hunted by Zac Zuo. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
