i went looking for this because i could not answer a simple question, which was how much am i actually paying every month. the monthly ones you notice. the annual ones charged once, eleven months ago, and are effectively invisible until the card gets declined.
wallos is a subscription tracker you run yourself. one docker container, everything stays on your own machine, and it does the arithmetic across currencies and billing cycles so the number at the top is the real one. categories, payment methods, per member if a household shares things, and a notice before a renewal charges.
miguel has been shipping it since october 2023. 8.5k stars, gpl-3.0, and his one show hn got four points and zero comments. that has always looked like the wrong outcome for something people quietly rely on.
if you already track this somehow, what do you use? every answer i have heard so far is a spreadsheet the person is slightly embarrassed about.
