This is important pay data that was already public, but now it's in an easy-to-use-and-share format. This site was specifically made to become a comprehensive source for payroll data visualizations.

The salary distribution charts are really well done, letting you drill into specific pay bands without losing context. Nicely built tool for something that's usually buried in clunky government PDFs.
Being able to filter by department or agency within a city would be really helpful. For example, I want to compare police salaries across major cities without scrolling through every public employee in each municipality.
