The problem I saw: Indian shopkeepers (kirana stores, medical
shops, garment shops) were still making bills on paper parchi
or spending Rs. 25,000 on billing machines they barely use.
So I built Vyop — turn any Android phone into a full billing
counter. GST invoice in 5 seconds, barcode scanning with phone
camera, digital khata for tracking udhar, and a free online
store for their shop — all in one app.
Voice billing is my favorite feature — shopkeeper just speaks
in Hindi "do kilo cheeni, ek Dettol" and the bill is ready.
