Star ratings tell you which restaurant is good, not which dish. VotedMenu rates every dish on the menu, so you walk in knowing what to order instead of trusting the waiter's pick. Search the map by place or by dish, filter by diet and allergens (halal, vegan, gluten-free…), and earn coins for honest reviews. Restaurants get a free QR menu that shows off their top-rated dishes. Works in any browser, no install, and Claude or ChatGPT can search it too.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Tasnim, the solo maker of VotedMenu.
The idea came from a moment I kept repeating while traveling: I'd pick the best-rated restaurant nearby, sit down… and have no idea what to order. A 4.5★ place can still have a forgettable dish next to an amazing one, and the overall rating hides which is which. So I'd ask the waiter, who often recommends whatever has the best margin.
It's unfair on the other side too. A restaurant can make the best pasta in town, but if its other dishes are average, the overall rating buries it.
So VotedMenu rates dishes, not just places:
🍝 Every dish gets its own rating, photos, and notes
🗺️ Search the map by restaurant or by dish ("best shawarma near me")
🥗 Dietary filter: halal, veg, vegan, allergen-free; matching places move to the top
🪙 Coins for honest reviews (the same coins for 1★ or 5★), redeemable at restaurants later
📱 Restaurants get a free, live QR menu that shows off their top-rated dishes, so their menu becomes marketing, not just a price list
🤖 Claude and ChatGPT can query it through our API
It's a mobile-first web app: no install, and you can add it to your home screen. Native apps come next.
Before this, I built Quit Addiction, an app with more than a million installs. This time I wanted to solve a problem I ran into myself.
I'd love your feedback: what's the first dish you'd look up? And restaurant owners, what would make you put this QR code on your tables?
