VOLY is an open-source control plane for AI coding agents. It routes coding tasks across executors, runs multi-agent workflows, reduces repeated token spend with persistent cache, falls back when an executor hits billing or availability issues, and shows cost per task with files touched. Instead of running Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Wrangler, and other agents as separate tools, VOLY gives you one measurable layer above them.

Top comment

Hey Product Hunt 👋 VOLY sits above Claude Code / Cursor / Codex — not another agent. The pain we kept hitting: agents are useful until the token bill spikes, a quota kills the run mid-task, and nobody can say what changed. What you get locally (Apache-2.0): voly run "fix this bug" --cwd . billing fallback across executors when one dies run report: cost, tokens, files touched Try: https://github.com/voly-codes/voly Site: https://voly.codes Happy to answer questions in the comments. FAQ Vs Claude Code / Cursor alone? They execute. VOLY orchestrates, measures, and recovers. Is Cloud required? No. Open-core is full locally; Cloud is team hosting. Does it replace my agent? No — it routes work to your agents. Where is cost from? Per-run TaskEvent + UI (screenshot #1). Install? Python 3.10+ — see https://voly.codes/getting-started/ Windows? Yes. A2A / DSPy? Optional internals — not the headline. Launch posture Ship open-core as the product on PH. Mention Cloud as secondary: team dashboard / shared history / hosted sandbox. Hero CTA for launch week: Install + GitHub, not Cloud-first.

Comment highlights

the cost per task view is really useful, especially the files touched breakdown. one thing i'd love is a way to tag or label tasks by repo or project so the spend reports can be filtered that way. right now everything looks flat, and most of my cost comes from two repos specifically. would make weekly reviews way easier
