Vinci turns your Android contacts into a lightweight personal CRM; no new silo, no cloud account required. It reads directly from your existing contacts (DAVx5, Nextcloud, anything), and layers relationship tracking on top: interaction logging, follow-up reminders, birthday alerts, social profile links, and notes per contact. You can even log interactions with numbers not in your contacts. Free, open source (GPLv3), no ads, no telemetry
I built Vinci because I kept losing track of people; not dramatically, just the quiet drift. A follow-up I meant to send, a birthday I missed, a conversation that never continued. Every CRM I tried was either built for sales teams or wanted to replace my contacts entirely. I didn't want that. My contacts were already in Nextcloud, synced via DAVx5. I just needed a layer on top.
So I started small; interaction logging, notes, reminders. As I used it myself, the shape of the app became clearer. The "who was that again?" problem led to supporting numbers not in your contacts. The social media angle came from realizing that a lot of meaningful exchanges happen there too, not just calls and meetings.
It's the app I wish existed (just like the other apps I am building). I've been using it daily for a while now, and I'm finally happy to share more widely.
Love that it just reads from my existing Nextcloud contacts instead of building yet another walled garden. Logged a quick interaction with an unsaved number and it tucked it away perfectly.
