I built Vacay out of a very real problem I lived every day.
I managed a salon with 47 employees across multiple departments. Time off was a constant headache for me, requests came in through WhatsApp, texts, sticky notes. I'd approve someone, then realize two other stylists were already off that week. I had no visibility until I was already building the schedule.
Employees had no idea how many days they'd used. I had no idea either without digging through months of messages.
I tried spreadsheets. I tried calendar apps. Nothing was built for how a small business actually runs.
So I built Vacay, the tool I wished I had.
