Hey everyone, This started way smaller than it is now. I built the first version as a simple form to generate LaTeX resumes for a friend, nothing fancier than that. Then I kept running into my own annoyances while job hunting and just kept adding to it. The first one: I was manually going to each company's careers page to check for new openings, which gets old fast across a dozen companies. That turned into role-finder, so I could describe what I wanted in plain language instead of clicking through job boards one by one. The second one is what the extension is actually for. Every application eventually hits one of those "why do you want to work here?" boxes, and my routine was: open ChatGPT or Claude, paste in the job description, paste in my resume, write a prompt, copy the answer back. Every single time. So the extension just does that loop for you: it reads the job description straight off the page you're on, pulls your profile and resume from your account, and drafts an answer from that instead of you doing the copy-paste dance. There's also a box to add extra context ("I was referred by X", "mention my project Y") if you want to steer the answer before it writes it. It also autofills the regular stuff (contact info, work authorization, resume upload, even Workday's multi-step forms), so the goal between role-finder and the extension is: spend your time deciding which jobs to apply to, not retyping the same twenty fields for the tenth time today. Still early, built by one person around his own job search, so if something breaks on a site or an answer feels off, tell me, that's genuinely the most useful thing anyone can do right now.
