I'm Eve, and I built allcredit.cards mostly out of frustration.
Every credit card comparison site shows the same 20 national issuers — Chase, Capital One, Amex, Discover — because those are the ones that pay affiliates. But the US has about 3,000 other banks and credit unions issuing cards, and a lot of them are cheaper: the median credit union card in my data has an 11.9% APR versus 17.7% at banks, usually with no annual fee. Nobody lists them, so nobody knows.
So I went to the source: the FDIC and NCUA registries for the list of institutions, then rate sheets and disclosure documents for every card. It took months. The result is 8,500+ cards from ~3,100 institutions, with APR, fees, intro offers, rewards and eligibility, searchable by state, issuer and card type. Plus a "best card from X" write-up for every institution with more than one card.
A few things I learned along the way:
Around 300 "local" banks sell the same 12-card lineup from Elan Financial under their own brand. Identical terms, different logo.
Only 12% of credit unions offer a business credit card at all.
Almost half of credit union business cards don't publish their APR online. You have to call.
It's free, there are no affiliate rankings, and the data comes from the issuers' own documents. I'd love to hear what's missing, what's wrong, and which institutions you'd want added first.
