The dev toolkit you've been bookmarking 10 sites for.
Toolpad — 25+ free browser-based developer tools. No signup. No limits. Fake data generators that actually validate — Luhn-valid credit cards, MOD-97 IBANs, real-TAC IMEIs. JSON & XML formatter, minifier, validator. JSON↔XML, JSON↔CSV, Base64, Hex converters. Everything runs client-side — your data never leaves the browser. Free REST API included, no key required.
Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Harsh, and I built Toolpad — this is my first real product launch, so bear with me.
Here's the honest story of why this exists:
I was building a side project and spent an embarrassing amount of time just setting up test data. I needed fake credit card numbers to test a payment flow, fake addresses for a form, and a quick way to convert some JSON — and I ended up with six different browser tabs open, each from a different site, half of them showing ads every 3 seconds or asking me to sign up for the "free" plan.
I thought — this is a solved problem. Why is it this painful?
So I built Toolpad.in from scratch.
𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿:
→ Developers who need realistic test data fast
→ QA engineers testing payment forms, telecom systems, address validation
→ Backend devs who live in JSON and XML all day
→ Anyone who's bookmarked 10 random utility sites and hates it
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁:
I didn't use any data generation libraries. Every algorithm is written from scratch — the Luhn checksum for credit cards, the MOD-97 formula for IBANs, real TAC prefix tables for IMEI numbers pulled from actual manufacturer data. The output isn't just random strings — it's structurally correct data that passes real validation checks.
The whole frontend is plain HTML, CSS, and vanilla JS — no framework. Everything runs in your browser. Your data never touches a server.
I also built a REST API on top of the same core library, with no API key required, because I kept wishing tools like this had one.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴:
This is a v1. I know there are tools missing, edge cases I haven't handled, and things that could be better. That's exactly why I'm here — I want real feedback from people who actually use developer tools every day.
If you try it and something feels off, or there's a tool you wish existed — please tell me in the comments. I'm actively building and every piece of feedback shapes what gets added next.
Thank you for checking it out.
