Most tools tell you when a stock moves. Thesis tells you when the reason you bought it changes. Write your rationale, link your portfolio, and get alerted only when filings, earnings, or news actually affect your thesis. no daily noise, no price-watching. built for self-directed investors.
I spent two years inside a family office and learned something most retail investors are never told: you're not playing the same game as institutions. You were never meant to.
The edge used to be information. Now everyone has data. The real edge is discipline and infrastructure, and that's the part nobody hands to retail. Institutions pay teams to track every position. Everyone else is on their own.
So I quit to build that infrastructure for the people it was kept from.
thesis is the discipline layer for self-directed investors. Write down why you bought a stock, link your portfolio, and thesis tells you when the reason you bought it actually changes. Not more noise. Not a faster feed. Not another app that profits every time you trade. And when nothing's changed, it stays silent.
This is v1. I'd love feedback, especially from anyone who manages their own portfolio, what would make this useful for you?
