I’ve spent 23 years at Royal Mail, both as a postie and in management. So naturally, I’ve made a game about delivering parcels after the apocalypse. 😂 It’s called The Final Mile. As a kid, I loved Barcode Battlers. There was something brilliant about an everyday barcode becoming part of a game. I’ve always liked finding new uses for things that already exist, so Royal Mail tracking numbers felt like a fun place to start. Enter a tracking code and the first two letters choose your monsters. The nine digits shape your steps, supplies and delivery address. A different code gives you a different round. Deliver one last parcel, then get back to the van. The catch? Once you’ve delivered, the monsters get faster and start hunting you. Thankfully, there’s tea. ☕ It’s a fun, unofficial personal project, free to play in your browser. Give your tracking code a go and see whether you can finish your round: thefinalmilegame.com The world ended. Your round didn’t.
