Stop retyping text and rebuilding tables. Textly lets you instantly capture text from anywhere on your Mac — even when you can't select or copy it. Extract tables from screenshots, PDFs, videos, and apps while keeping rows and columns intact. Export to CSV, Markdown, or TSV, translate text instantly, and revisit previous captures with clipboard history. Just select an area, capture, and get back to what matters.
I'm the indie developer behind Textly, and I'm excited to share it with you!
Textly started from a simple frustration — seeing text or tables on my Mac screen but not being able to copy them. I kept wondering, why should I have to retype something that's already on my screen?
That's what inspired me to build Textly.
What began as a simple text capture tool has grown into something more — with table recognition that preserves rows and columns, instant translation, and searchable clipboard history.
I've put a lot of care into making Textly feel simple, fast, and truly native to macOS.
As an indie developer, your feedback means a lot. I'd love to know what you think and what I could improve.
