The chains have an app. You have a jar of stamps. Tenth puts your shop's loyalty card into Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Customers scan the code on your counter and the card is on their phone - no app, no sign-up, no email. Staff stamp it from any phone or tablet. You get the part paper never had: who came back, who went quiet, and how many free coffees you owe. Free to your first 30 customers, then £29/month.

I built Tenth because independent shops are still running loyalty on cardboard, and cardboard tells you nothing. A shop can hand out five hundred cards and have no idea whether anyone came back. The obvious answer is an app, and it's the wrong one. Nobody downloads an app for one coffee shop. So Tenth uses the wallet app already on every phone: the customer scans a code on the counter and the card is just there, no app, no email, no account. Staff stamp it from whatever device is by the till. Two decisions I'd defend: there's no customer app and no merchant app, because a wallet pass and a web page cover the whole job. And the head start is configurable - a 10-stamp card with 2 already filled gets finished far more often than an 8-stamp card starting empty, which is a real and well-replicated effect rather than a growth hack. One honest limitation: the card can surface on a customer's lock screen when they walk near the shop, but their phone decides whether to show it. It's a bonus, not something to build a business on. It's live and free to your first 30 customers. I'd genuinely like to hear from anyone who has run a paper scheme - especially what you wanted to know and couldn't.

Who hunted Tenth?

Tenth was hunted by Black Flame Digital. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
