Tenet is a design governance and knowledge layer that keeps the reasoning behind product decisions connected to the work. Unlike documentation tools or linters, it brings rules, research and past decisions into the moment a designer needs them. Living personas, journeys, service blueprints, prototypes, Signals and Rulebooks help teams preserve context, catch design drift early and avoid repeating work.
We built Tenet after seeing the same problem across design teams:
The standards exist. The research exists. The decisions have already been made. Yet every new project sends designers back through old files, documents and conversations to find context the team already had.
We first approached this as a design-drift problem. Tenet would catch inconsistent components, layouts and copy before they reached production.
But drift was only the visible symptom. The deeper problem was that the reasoning behind the work kept disappearing.
A design system can show which pattern is approved. It rarely explains why that pattern exists, which research shaped it or whether an exception was intentional.
That insight changed Tenet.
It evolved from a design checker into a connected design knowledge and governance layer. Tenet brings Rulebooks, Signals, living personas, journeys, service blueprints, prototypes and past decisions into the work inside Figma.
So when something changes, teams can understand what it affects and why.
