I built Takeoff because I wanted a Windows launcher that just gets out of the way. Existing launchers like raycast can do a lot, but I felt they were becoming too heavy for something as simple as launching apps and finding system tools.
So I built Takeoff from scratch. It’s tiny, fast, has no Electron, no telemetry.
I’d love to hear what you think, especially what you’d want to see in a launcher like this.
