**What inspired us to build this?**
Let’s be honest: the subscription model has gone too far. Running a cafe or restaurant is already hard and expensive. Business owners are tired of paying a new monthly bill for every single software tool they use.
We looked at the industry and realized something important. Tools like POS systems, QR menus, and inventory tracking aren't magic anymore. They are basic needs for any modern food business. We wanted to build something fair that breathes fresh air into hospitality.
**What problem are we trying to solve?**
We are solving "subscription fatigue." Tabres gives you a complete, all-in-one restaurant management platform for free. You get a free POS system, smart QR menus, and kitchen displays (KDS) in one simple place. There are no hidden costs and no monthly traps.
**How did our approach evolve?**
When we started, we had to figure out how to keep it free but still build a strong business. We realized the real costs today come from running AI.
So, we built a fair "pay-as-you-go" model. You only pay for extra AI credits if you actually use our advanced AI features. There is no monthly commitment. If you don't use the AI tools, you don't pay a cent.
We also made sure Tabres respects your privacy. We don't use tracking cookies and we never sell your personal data.
