TabeMemo
Type "3 cookies." Your calorie budget drops. That's it.
TabeMemo is a calorie wallet. Type or speak something casual like "3 chocolate cookies" and Claude estimates the items and kcal, so the balance on your home-screen widget (remaining kcal today) drops instantly. No photos, no macro tracking, no scoring — just the fastest way to log a meal. Syncs across devices via iCloud. Built for people who quit calorie apps because logging felt like a chore. Free to use and ad-supported; a one-time purchase removes ads.
Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I built TabeMemo because every calorie app I tried died on my phone within a week — searching a food database and tapping through portion sizes for a single cookie just isn't worth it.
So TabeMemo removes all of that. You jot (or say to Siri) a messy one-liner like "3 Alfort biscuits" or "medium latte and a croissant", and Claude estimates the items and kcal for you. The number you actually care about — your remaining calories for the day — sits right on your home-screen widget and drops the moment you log. No photos, no barcode scanning, no macro breakdowns, no scoring or nagging. Just the fastest possible way to answer "how much do I have left today?"
It syncs across your devices via iCloud, so logging from your iPhone shows up everywhere.
Would genuinely love your feedback on the input flow — the whole bet is that "type a sloppy note" beats "search a database." Happy to answer any questions! 🙏
Quick honest update, a few hours left in the window: I'm at 3 points and #57.
I'm a solo dev in my 40s, no CS background, and this is my third iOS app. I launched with 77 followers on X, so this was never going to top the leaderboard — and that's fine. What I actually want out of today is one thing: to find out whether "type one messy line and the number on your home screen drops" is genuinely less friction than every food-database app I've quit.
Two things I deliberately left out, and I'd love to be argued with: no photo recognition or barcode scanner, and no macro/PFC breakdown — just "how much can I still eat today."
If you've ever abandoned a calorie tracker: what was the exact moment you stopped? Mine was tapping through portion sizes for a single cookie.
