Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Tab Controller because every time I needed to help someone with something in their browser — fill out a form, walk through a settings page, debug a site — the only options were "screen share and talk them through it" or "install a full remote-desktop app that can touch their entire computer."
Neither felt right for a job that's really just: let me drive this one tab for two minutes.
So Tab Controller does exactly that:
🔒 Scoped to one tab — never sees the rest of the desktop, other apps, or other tabs
✅ Consent required — the other person approves the session, and Chrome's own debugger indicator stays visible the whole time (can't be hidden or spoofed)
🖱️ Real control, not just viewing — click, type, scroll, navigate — with a live mirror of what's happening
🌐 Optional domain lock — restrict a session to one site only
🎥 Local recording — saved to your device, nothing uploaded
🆓 Free 5-minute sessions, one-time license removes the cap
