I built Syntra because I watched a friend — a carpenter in the Canary Islands — slowly go broke without realising it.
He was pricing custom tables at €400, thinking he was doing well. When I helped him calculate the real cost — wood, hardware, varnish, tool depreciation, packaging, delivery — it came to €310. He was making €90 per table working 12-hour days. And that's before tax.
The problem wasn't laziness. It was that calculating real costs requires either a spreadsheet that takes hours to maintain, or an accountant that costs more than the margin you're trying to protect.
So I built Syntra:
