Synema exists because a lot of genuinely good AI-made storytelling has nowhere to land. It shows up in random corners of the internet. A short film posted once and buried, an animation clip lost in a feed, a music video shared in a thread that disappears tomorrow. The work is often imaginative, sometimes surprisingly moving, and almost always hard to discover again. We built Synema to change that: a dedicated home for AI-generated movies, music videos, animation, and experimental visuals.
My inspiration to build this website came from my struggles to be able to save and watch dedicated AI content.
I have seen so many talented people creating absolutely phenomenal music, animation or experimental movies. Many of them on their first attempt and many of them could've easily be a hit with proper visibility.
I have tens of bookmarks saved with such creations but not a single library that centralizes such content.
Synema was created with this purpose. A safe environment without adds, no NSFW content, no noise, no toxicity - regular people having an actual shot of showing the world what they have worked on.
honestly the discovery side feels like the biggest missing piece right now, maybe a simple weekly editor's pick or a featured collection based on mood or genre would help surface stuff that would otherwise get buried.
Have you thought about adding a tagging or topic filter so people can browse by mood or style? Right now discovery sounds like it relies on curating alone, but a way to filter by something like "surreal" or "narrative" or even runtime would help me find more of the kind of stuff I'd actually want to rewatch.
honestly this is a really cool idea, the world needs a home for ai-made stuff that isn't just lost in feeds forever. one thing that would help though is some kind of tagging or filter system by genre or mood, because once you get a decent amount of films in there it'd be tough to dig through everything to find something that fits what you're in the mood for.
love the idea of a dedicated home for ai-made films, that curation problem is real. one thought though: adding a way to follow specific creators or get notified when they drop something new would help a lot, right now it seems hard to keep up with work you actually liked and would want to see more from.
