Sweepr cleans your camera roll one swipe at a time: left to delete, right to keep. The photos you'd never delete, you can compress instead: same resolution, date and album, a lighter file. 4K video can go to 1080p. New in 2.0: a trash inside the deck where you can bring anything back before one iOS confirmation, duplicates side by side, video trimming, whole-year decks, a proper iPad layout and a new dark design. No account, nothing uploaded, no AI deciding for you.
Moving to a new iPhone copies everything, including that screenshot of where you parked in 2022. Sweepr is for clearing that out first: swipe left to delete, right to keep, and compress the heavy ones you'd never delete.
I'm Devid, a solo iOS developer and graphic designer. Sweepr 1.x was here on August 31. 2.0 is out now, a full redesign around the same deck:
• A new home screen for the whole library, with screen recordings, large videos and duplicates as sections of their own. Swipe one day, one month or a whole year.
• A trash inside the deck. Left swipes wait there, you can bring any of them back, and iOS asks you to confirm once, when you leave the deck.
• Duplicates and near-identical shots side by side, so you pick the one that stays.
• Trim long videos down to the part that matters.
• Totals: space freed, photos kept and deleted. Pro adds a streak and an activity map.
• A new dark design with an icon set drawn just for it, a proper iPad layout that turns to landscape, and over 30 languages, Arabic and Hebrew included.
What stayed: compressing instead of deleting. Photos keep their resolution, date and album in a lighter file, and 4K video can go to 1080p. If a photo wouldn't get meaningfully smaller, Sweepr leaves it alone and says so. And still no account, nothing uploaded, no AI picking photos for you.
The free version gives you 50 swipes a week, and compressing a photo or video counts as one. Duplicates and the trash aren't behind Pro, and you get 3 video trims to try. Pro removes both limits and adds the full statistics.
