SquadX is an AI assistant for handball coaches. It reads your actual roster, player profiles and game data, then helps you plan the season, build sessions and prep for the next opponent. Most coaching tools are either admin software or static drill libraries. Neither knows your team. SquadX does. Every plan starts from your players, their level and what happened in your last game. Real coaching structure, applied to your squad. Built for the coach who plans on Sunday night.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm one of the co-founders of SquadX.
This started with a simple observation. Coaches plan their entire week on Sunday night, alone, from scratch. Season plan, session plan, opponent prep, figuring out which players are progressing and which ones are stuck. Most of them do it in notebooks and spreadsheets, because the software that exists does not help with the actual coaching work.
The tools out there solve adjacent problems. Team admin and scheduling on one side, static drill libraries on the other. Neither of them knows your team. That was the gap.
We built SquadX around a simple idea: the value is not in generating a plan, it is in closing the loop. Add your roster once. SquadX builds your season plan, breaks it into sessions, and keeps updating as your players develop and your games play out. Opponent prep feeds into training. Post-game analysis feeds back into the plan.
The part that took the longest was resisting the obvious version. Early on we could have shipped a session generator in a few weeks. Prompt in, drills out. It demos well and coaches see through it immediately. Generic drills with no methodology behind them destroy trust in about thirty seconds.
So we did it the slow way. Every piece of methodology in the product is validated by Gintaras Savukynas, EHF Master Coach and head coach of the Lithuania national team. The AI does not invent coaching. It applies real coaching structure to your specific squad.
The biggest lesson so far: coaches do not want AI to coach for them. They want it to remove the two hours of prep so they can spend that time on the court.
Would love your feedback, especially from anyone who has built for a niche where the users are experts and can spot fake credibility instantly. That constraint shaped almost every decision here.
Happy to answer anything in the comments 🤝
Honestly this looks really useful for sunday night planning. One thing that would help a lot is letting me tag specific players as questionable or out for the next game so the opponent prep actually reflects who I have available, otherwise it just assumes my full squad is ready and that never really happens mid season.
Honestly this sounds like it was built by someone who's actually coached on Sunday nights, not just thrown together with buzzwords. The part where it pulls from your last game to shape the next session is the kind of thing I've wished every coaching app would do.
