Most social apps assume everyone already shares a language. The moment it changes, the thread dies, or you paste every post and DM into a translator and lose the conversation.
I wanted the opposite: write once in your language, and everyone else reads in theirs. Not a translator tab. The feed, DMs, and blogs should just work that way.
That’s SpiralLink. It’s an 18+ social network. Translation runs on your device. It’s on iOS, Android, and the web.
What evolved along the way: I started by chasing “more languages.” The harder problem was making translation invisible — so a post is still a post, a DM is still a DM, not a localization job. Early members also keep more paid plans free while the community is still growing.
What’s still rough: a new network is quiet until people show up, and translation will stumble on slang, names, and mixed-language posts. That’s the feedback I want.
