Highlight text anywhere, press ⌘⇧Space, and run 185+ native macOS actions for writing, translation, developer tools, clipboard, files, windows, reminders, and AI. Slashbar works with Claude, Codex, Gemini, and Apple on-device models through the accounts you already use, so there are no API keys or extra AI subscriptions.
Hey Product Hunt — I’m Harun, the developer of Slashbar.
I built Slashbar because I kept bouncing between tiny utilities, browser tabs, launchers, and AI apps for simple tasks. The idea is one shortcut for all of that: highlight text anywhere, press ⌘⇧Space, then choose an action.
It currently includes 185+ actions across writing, translation, developer utilities, clipboard, files, windows, reminders, app launching, web shortcuts, and AI.
The AI part is intentionally different: Slashbar works with Claude, Codex, Gemini, and Apple’s on-device models through the tools/accounts you already use, so you don’t need another API key or subscription.
It’s native Swift, free, signed and notarized for macOS 14+, and privacy-friendly. It does not collect your text, clipboard contents, files, AI prompts, or integration data.
I’d love feedback on which actions feel genuinely useful — and which ones should be removed or simplified.
how does it handle conflicts if i have raycast installed at the same time, or do they end up fighting over the same hotkey
highlighted some text earlier today and asked it to rephrase, and the popup felt closer to a native mac tool than the other utilities i have tried. having my claude account just work without api keys is a nice touch.

Slashbar was hunted by harun.. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
