The advanced search feature would help a lot of people since Gmail's Advanced search feature is not so powerful and often gives irrelevant results! You can target this segment of the market - C suite executives who have a cluttered email inbox! also managers who are managing a tech team or a marketing team!
I've been using shortwave for the last couple months and i really love it. Congrats on this new launch. I moved on from Superhuman and switch to shortwave, great product!

I love this! People have been talking about AI agents.. is that how you see this moving as you expand the tech?
I used Superhuman for years. I switched to Shortwave about six months ago. Superhuman has bells and whistles. Shortwave organizes emails in a way that allows me to process them quickly and intelligently in a way I never could before.
Once I got my bundles dialed in. I can open Shortwave and, at a glance, see the entire big picture of what's come in and instantly know where to put my attention next.
I also have whole categories of emails that Shortwave knows not to even bother showing me on Monday, just keep them snoozed until Tuesday after 1pm.
Their AI alone has saved me lots of time. I'm not one to have an AI compose anything for me, but having it summarize long incoming emails is a godsend.
I HIGHLY recommend this app.
Been using this since alpha. It's not a simple gimmick stuck on top of GPT like most AI these days. It actually helps through assessment of existing material and simulation of writing style. As an ADHDer the biggest benefit it brings is that "i don't want to answer this simple email because it's too hard" scenario where I'd leave it for months unanswered. Now I just prompt the AI and it gets me unstuck.
And for those new to Shortwave, here's what you should know:
1. it's google inbox reincarnated. finally.
2. they have an actual business model: you pay for it.
Loved the premise but disappointing experience: asked the AI if it could archive all the emails from a given sender. Bot said yes if I upgraded to premium. I asked it to confirm that functionality - which it did. I upgrade and first thing I ask it to do is to then archive those emails. It tells me then it can't and doesn't have that capability...
I particularly like the little AI affordances within the existing UI elements, such as little buttons on each thread to get it summarised, or "include a smart summary" when responding on a thread (that has also already existed for a while now).
It's those little things - much more than the usual chatbot everybody now adds - that make Shortwave's AI adoption different for me.
That and the already great UX for handling the stream of emails, that is just amazing.
The shortwave team around @startupandrew slowly but steadily executes on their vision, and I am happy to get to use the best email client overall.
