The idea came from a simple frustration: Tesla records amazing footage, but by the time you discover an incident, it's often too late. We wanted to know what happened, as it happened.
Instead of building another cloud service, we took a different approach. SentryAlert is a dedicated in-car edge device that works directly with TeslaCam. It can send AI-powered near real-time alerts, snapshots, video clips and intelligent summaries while keeping your recordings on your own device—not our servers.
Privacy and user control have been guiding principles from day one. We also wanted to avoid another monthly subscription, so SentryAlert is designed to be a buy-once solution with no mandatory subscription.

How does the device actually communicate with your phone for the snapshots and summaries if everything stays stored on the device itself, is it running its own local network or piggybacking on the Tesla's wifi?
