This one is personal. If you've ever sent money to family in another country, you know the ritual: you pay a fee that feels like a punishment, you accept an exchange rate that quietly robs you, and then you wait. And wait. Days go by while someone you love refreshes their phone wondering if it came through. I lived that frustration too many times, and it never sat right with me that in 2026 a text message crosses the planet instantly but money still crawls.
So I went looking under the hood. The tech to move money across borders in minutes already exists: stablecoins. The problem was that using it meant wallets, seed phrases, and a crash course in crypto that no one asking "did the money arrive?" wants to take. That was the real gap. Not the rails, but the experience on top of them.
So we made a decision early: the stablecoin part is our problem, not yours. You send in dollars or pounds, your family receives in local currency, and everything crypto happens invisibly in the background. That constraint shaped every product call we made. Every time something felt too "crypto," we hid it, simplified it, or removed it.
The hardest part wasn't the blockchain. It was making the blockchain disappear.
