Seabook feels like much more than a marine species guide—it has the potential to become a complete digital companion for ocean exploration. As AI, citizen science, and marine conservation continue evolving, platforms that help people identify species, document biodiversity, and share observations will become increasingly valuable. If Seabook continues expanding its database, community features, and intelligent identification tools, I can easily see it becoming one of the most trusted apps for divers, snorkelers, researchers, and ocean lovers around the world.
Hey Seabook team—congratulations on the launch! I really like the direction you've taken with this product. I'll definitely be exploring the species identification feature, dive logs, and custom collections during my next diving trip. It's refreshing to see an app that combines education, exploration, and practical tools in such a clean experience. Thanks for building something that helps people appreciate the underwater world even more!
Identify marine life. Log your dives. Build your personal ocean journal.
Seabook brings marine exploration and dive logging together in one beautifully designed app. The offline support and extensive species database make it even more useful for real adventures. Fantastic work by the team!
Huge congratulations to the Seabook team! Products that encourage people to explore, learn, and care about the natural world are always worth celebrating. Every identified species and every logged dive helps people build a stronger connection with our oceans. I hope this app inspires even more divers, snorkelers, and marine enthusiasts to discover and protect underwater ecosystems. Wishing you an amazing Product Hunt launch!
From a UX perspective, Seabook feels thoughtfully designed for real-world use. The clean navigation, quick species search, dive logging, and offline access solve problems that divers actually face. I especially appreciate that the app doesn't rely entirely on an internet connection, making it practical for liveaboards and remote dive destinations. That's exactly how adventure apps should be built.
Every time I go snorkeling or diving, I come back with photos of fish and coral that I can't identify later. Seabook looks like the perfect solution to that problem. Being able to identify marine life, save sightings, and keep a personal dive journal makes every trip much more memorable. I also like that the app encourages learning instead of simply collecting photos. Looking forward to trying it on my next ocean adventure!
What impressed me most is how comprehensive Seabook is. Photo-based species identification, smart filters, a database of over 1,700 marine species, detailed dive logs, GPS dive sites, custom collections, and offline functionality all come together in a single app. Instead of juggling multiple tools, divers can identify species, record sightings, organize trips, and revisit their underwater adventures from one place. That's an excellent user experience for both beginners and experienced divers.
Seabook is such a beautiful example of technology supporting exploration and conservation at the same time. I love that it's not just about identifying marine species—it also helps divers document their experiences and learn more about the underwater world. Having an app that combines a rich marine database with dive logging makes every dive more meaningful. The offline support is especially valuable for remote dive trips where connectivity isn't always available. Congratulations to the team on creating something that inspires curiosity and appreciation for ocean life!
Finally an app that makes saving and revisiting highlights actually painless, the clean layout keeps me focused without distractions. Been using it for a few days and already built a habit of jotting quick notes as I read.
finally tried seabook and the highlight capture feels really smooth, way less friction than juggling between my kindle and notes app
finally gave this a quick try and i love how easy it is to drop a highlight and find it later without digging through menus
The highlight capture flow feels really well thought out, especially how quickly you can revisit saved insights without breaking your reading rhythm.
