I built Samurai Me as a solo developer. I've always been fascinated by feudal Japan, and I wanted to create something that lets people truly *see themselves* as a samurai warrior.
The AI generates hand-painted portrait-style images — not just photo filters. You can choose from 22 warrior archetypes including Shogun, Ninja, Ghost Samurai, Oni Warrior, Lady Warrior, and more.
What inspired me: I noticed AI portrait apps exist, but nothing specifically crafted for the samurai aesthetic with this level of variety. Built it myself from scratch in Swift.
