After 1 year of hard work, we are back on Product Hunt to unveil Routine on Android! 🙌 Routine is now present on all major platforms: macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android and Web. With Routine on Android, you can quickly capture tasks, take notes in meetings and pages, block time in your calendar to make sure a task gets done, and obviously, manage your time through a full-fledged calendar which is bidirectional synchronized with Google Calendar. A quick note on the fact that Routine is local first. This means that Routine operates locally by default, without an Internet connection. In other words, Routine's brain and your data are always present on your device. We'd love to know what you think of the Android app but also of Routine in general as 2025 has been a pivotal year, shaping the product into an all-in-one productivity app with AI meeting notes, custom types, integrations and more.

Comment highlights

Congratulations on the new launch! It looks very user-friendly, I need to try it. Can your service automatically transfer all my reminders from my iPhone?

Shipping Android while staying local-first is impressive.
Offline-by-default + tasks, notes, and calendar in one place feels like a strong trust-first approach to productivity.

@jmq Tasks, calendars, notes and AI all in one app addresses the context switching problem! Having everything unified should make planning and execution much smoother.

What's the AI's role in this setup? Does it help with scheduling optimization, task prioritization, or something else? And how does it handle syncing across devices if someone uses both Android and desktop?

Congrats on the launch! Routine’s evolution into an all-in-one productivity system with local-first data and AI meeting notes feels very thoughtfully executed.

Congratulations on the Android launch! The calendar integration looks super clean.

One thought: will there be a way to set recurring AI-generated summaries or reminders for tasks captured during meetings?

All-in-one usually scares me, but local‑first + Android support is the bit I care about. I bounce between Notion, Todoist, and GCal… messy. If it stays fast offline and the AI doesn’t nag, I’m into it. Grabbing it on my Pixel to try this week.

I've been using it for a while, it's truly a game-changer for productivity nerds

Huge congrats to the Routine team on the Android launch! 🚀
I’ve loved seeing how consistently you’ve focused on simplicity, clarity, and real productivity. Well deserved — can’t wait to see what’s next.

Bravo @jmq and the team 💕

I’ve been using Routine every day for years, and it has truly become my second brain. Many apps make that promise, but Routine actually delivers. I honestly can’t thank the team enough for how much it helps me stay focused, organized, and on top of my professional life every single day…

There's always room to innovate in the self-organisation / planning/ todo-lists space!

Congratulations on your launch! 🚀

I am currently testing it.

It would be cool if one could tap on the event, and there would be a button – remind me of this on a certain date and time. (like alerts) Or does it already have any notifications/reminders?
