I run a clothing factory in Daska, Sialkot — cutting, stitching, washing and
branded trims all under one roof.
Most brands that reach out to us started the same way. They had a design, a
small budget, and a quantity that larger factories turned down. The people who
did say yes were usually agents rather than factories, so the brand paid a
margin to someone who placed the order somewhere they never saw, and found out
at delivery whether it matched the sample.
We work the other way round. Minimums start at 50 pieces a style and you deal
with the floor directly. The approved sample stays on the line for the whole
run, and bulk is measured against it before anything is packed — if it drifts,
it doesn't ship.
The biggest change in how we work has been documentation. Early on we relied
on conversation. Now nothing is cut until a tech pack exists with points of
measure, seam types and trim positions, signed off by both sides. Fewer
surprises for the brand, fewer remakes for us.
