Hi PH! I'm a software architect, and over the past year I rebuilt the arcade and board games I grew up with as 3D games that run in a browser - a tank arcade, a balloon fight, Ludo, and a property-trading game. No install, no account.
The deliberate choice: no ads, no tracking, no in-app purchases, on every platform including the app stores. It costs me the obvious revenue model, but the category leaders in these genres are so saturated with ads that "just let me play" turned out to be the actual differentiator.
Two things I'd genuinely like feedback on:
1. Ludo Chaos 3D defaults to the Cameroonian multi-throw rules I grew up with - a six banks its pips, and at the end of your streak you split them across your pawns however you like. I have never seen it in a digital Ludo. If you know other regional variants, I want to add them.
2. Neon Tycoon's bots negotiate rather than follow a script - they open trades unprompted, price a mortgaged deed with the bank's interest already counted, and deal their way out of bankruptcy instead of dying quietly. That took the longest of anything here, and I'd like to know whether it reads as "fair opponent" or "annoying".
All free. Happy to go into the tech - TypeScript, React Three Fiber, and a deterministic sim shared between browser and server.
