It helps merchants automate post-purchase email journeys, review requests, customer segmentation, and compliance-aware email workflows through secure OAuth-based integrations. While working with e-commerce businesses, I repeatedly saw the same problem: brands spent heavily to acquire customers but had no reliable system for bringing them back after the first purchase. Many merchants still exported CSV files manually, managed email campaigns by hand, and struggled with market-specific compliance requirements.
That led me to build Retengo—a platform focused on making post-purchase retention simple, automated, and secure. Instead of creating another general-purpose email marketing tool, I chose to focus on a specific commerce ecosystem, starting with Cafe24, where merchants needed native integration and streamlined workflows.
Throughout development, the product evolved from basic email automation into a compliance-first retention platform. We redesigned the architecture around secure OAuth-based integrations, merchant-owned data (BYO-Data), automated customer segmentation, audit logging, and compliance-aware email delivery. Our goal is to help D2C brands spend less time on manual operations and more time building long-term customer relationships.
Retengo is currently in its beta and pilot stage, and we're working closely with early adopters to validate product-market fit before expanding to Shopify and other global commerce platforms.
honestly the cafe24 integration is a nice starting point but it would be really helpful if you could add a way to sync review responses back to the original product pages automatically, like basically closing the loop without us having to manually update anything
